Yes, all goats and sheeps need to be ear tagged with NLIS approved electronic tags even if the animals never leave your property after birth.

Registration with the MLA should allow you access to the LPA website as they monitore the NLIS and LPA program.
The NLIS website is where you go to lodge the movement of an animal to or from a property.

Pig pass is the piece of paper you will get, when you by a pig, to say it has been moved. Pigpass details, can be found at the following link, but you don't need to know much about this, unless you are going to breed/sell/move the pigs. Yes, your pig should have either a ear tag or a tattoo on the left shoulder with a special no, to identify who breed the pig and where it came from. The ear tag is for small/young Pigs. Tattoo for larger Pigs. Pigs that are tattoed or ear taged, will come with a piece of paper called a pig pass, when sold.

Horses requiere a PIC number as do all livestock, however at this time there are no requierements or recording movement or purchase details and they obviosuly do no requiere ear tagging.
